FAQ

Asked before buying.

Straight answers to the questions memory buyers actually have. Anything not covered: ask us directly.

Is the memory new or used?

New. Every kit is sold as new stock, and every module additionally passes our own bench test before dispatch — the process is described on How we test. We do not sell used, refurbished or pulled modules.

Is it genuine? How do I know I'll get what the spec sheet says?

This is the right question to ask about memory bought online — mislabelled and resold modules are a real problem in this category. Our answer has three parts. First, every module is tested by us, individually, in a live machine before it ships: capacity and stability are verified, not assumed. Second, our spec sheets only state what we can stand behind — where a supplier publishes no figure, the page gives the JEDEC baseline or the range for that class and says so, instead of asserting a number. Third, the two-year warranty is handled by us directly: if a kit does not match its published specification, that is a warranty case and we make it right.

What warranty applies, and how do I claim it?

Two years on every kit, handled directly by Flowfinds Solutions Kft. — on top of your statutory rights in the EU and UK, never instead of them. To claim: contact us with your order reference (FF-…) and a description of the fault. Confirmed faults ship back at our cost, and we repair, replace or refund. Full terms on Returns & Warranty.

Where do you deliver, and how fast?

EU member states, the United Kingdom and the United States, with tracked shipping included in the price. EU and UK orders are delivered within 7 calendar days of payment confirmation — each kit's final bench test happens inside that window. US orders are dispatched from Hungary on the same schedule but take longer in transit, and they ship DDP: Flowfinds pays the US import duty and customs clearance, so there is nothing to pay on delivery. Details on Shipping & delivery.

Will it work with my exact motherboard?

Start with the compatibility checker — it resolves the common platforms and refuses to guess where a guess could be wrong. For a definitive answer, send us your exact board or prebuilt model before ordering and we confirm it against the kit. We would genuinely rather answer a pre-sale question than process a return.

What if I order the wrong type — DDR4 for a DDR5 board, or the reverse?

It will not fit — the generations are physically keyed differently — so nothing will be damaged, but you will have a kit you cannot use. As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery: tell us within that window, send the kit back, and we refund in full. Return shipping for a change-of-mind return is yours; the two-minute compatibility check is cheaper.

How do returns work?

Contact us first with your order reference — we issue the return authorisation and address (we deliberately do not publish the returns address). Consumers have the 14-day EU/UK right of withdrawal for any reason; faulty goods go back at our cost at any point in the warranty. The process is on Returns & Warranty.

Do you sell laptop (SODIMM) memory?

Yes, in DDR5 only: the DDR5 SODIMM line — 262-pin, 1.1 V, 8/16/32 GB, from €89. It fits laptops and SODIMM-based mini-PCs with a DDR5 slot. Every other line we sell is a full-size desktop DIMM and will not fit those machines. Two limits worth checking before you order: we do not stock DDR4 SODIMM, so an older laptop is not covered; and many recent thin laptops use soldered LPDDR5 or CAMM2 rather than a SODIMM slot, in which case no SODIMM fits and we are the wrong shop.

Can I add this kit next to the memory already in my PC?

Sometimes it works; it is never guaranteed — even between kits of the same nominal spec. Mixed modules force the platform to the settings of the weakest module, and some combinations refuse to run stably at all. The dependable configurations are: run our matched kit alone, or run it alongside an identical kit. If you plan to mix, keep generation, capacity per module and speed identical, and accept that stability is the platform's decision, not a promise we can make.

Do I need to configure anything after installing?

One setting, usually: enable XMP/EXPO/DOCP in the BIOS so the kit runs at its rated speed instead of the conservative boot default. The installation guide covers it step by step, including the DDR5 first-boot training pause that surprises people.

Is paying by card on this site safe?

Card payments run on Teya's hosted payment page — Teya is the regulated card processor; we never receive or store your card number or security code. We receive the order reference, amount and payment status, nothing more. Details in the privacy notice.

Do you issue business / VAT invoices?

Yes — business buyers receive an invoice from Flowfinds Solutions Kft. Include your company name, address and VAT number with the order (or send them with your order reference straight after ordering) and we issue the invoice accordingly. Volume pricing for system builders and resellers is quoted separately via contact.

Who am I actually buying from?

Flowfinds Solutions Kft. — the seller of record on your invoice, the party that tests your kit before dispatch, and the party that answers for the two-year warranty. Sourcing is done at manufacturer level without distribution layers; testing and support are done by us, not outsourced. What we are is described plainly on About and How we test.

Question not here?

Pre-sale questions get the same attention as warranty claims — including checking a specific board model against a kit before you pay.
